Containers: CLS and CLT pail closers from CRANDALL INTERNATIONAL are capable of closing metal lug cover pails. All standard lug cover closing head sizes are available and they are interchangeable. Closing heads (with "burpers") are also available for plastic pails. This permits one machine to close several container types and sizes.
CLT "Table Top" models are available for low production needs. They are used where the closing is not on a production line and when only a few pails are closed. The CLT model can assure a tight close and eliminate the manual labor involved in pail closing.
CLS Models are used on lower speed production lines, frequently with one nozzle fillers. Often a single operator will perform both filling and closing operations. Models are available for pails up to 60 liters/16 gallons at up to 6 pails per minute.
Operation:The operator moves the pail below the closing head, and holds the two operating buttons while the pail is closed. The CLS model has a roller conveyor which is constructed to meet existing conveyors, which makes the container handling easier on a production line.
Maintenance: The machine is designed to provide the user with many years of service. The frame is welded tubular steel. The standard coating is a 316 stainless steel pigment polyurethane paint which is approved by the USDA for food plants. The machine has an illustrated manual.
Safety: The machines include two-hand-anti-tie-down controls which force the operator to use two hands to operate the machine. Machines include safety controls and have noise reduction appliances to protect workers. Explosion Proof operation makes the machines suited to hazardous locations.
Noise Control: The 'A' level is less than 20 db. The cylinder exhausts through mufflers.
Utilities Required:
Electricity: None.
Compressed Air: 45 liters at 5.6 bar (1.5 cu. ft. at 80 p.s.i.) per container.
Workers Required: One operator is required.
With a single nozzle filler
and CLS-25 closer,
the worker will operate the filler and closer. He will also palletize the pails.

Casters: Casters are available if the machine will be moved
frequently.
Cleanliness: Options are available for cleanliness. This includes
a stainless steel frame, guards, and other stainless steel parts.
Conveyors: Conveyors may be added to the machine.
